Q:  Does Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Adlerian Therapy and Dialectical Therapy Skills Work?

A: Yes! These modalities are scientifically researched to be able with: Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, Stress Management, Decision Making, Self Esteem, Anger Management, Substance Abuse, Grief and many other issues that result in discouragement and suffering.

Q: What Kind of Techniques are used?

A: The techniques Darcy uses vary based on the clients needs.  However, some common approaches used for a variety of problems can range from Darcy conducting a LifeStyle Assessment, teaching Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Mindfulness ,Exposure Techniques, Humor, Role Playing, Yoga, Motivational Interviewing, Anger Management Training, Education and Play and Art.

Q: How long does therapy last?  

A: Darcy designs Treatment Plans/Goals based on the issues you’ve asked for assistance with.   Together, you review progress regularly and determine when treatment should end.  Darcy believes in the clients right to self determination and respects their right to terminate treatment at any time.

Q: Does Darcy Treat Children and Teens?

A: Yes!  Darcy will work with children ages 9 years old and up.  She uses CBT Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Filial Therapy and Theraplay.  For better results, parents are an active part of therapy.

Q: What are Darcy’s Fees? 

A: Initial Assessments are billed at $150.00 for 60 minutes and Individual therapy is billed at $125.00 per session.

Q: Do you accept Insurance?

A: Cigna, and Aetna as well as many EAP progams.  Out of Network Insurance is also accepted.  It is recommended that you call your insurance before making an appointment to determine if you have a deductible that must be met, or co-pays.

Q: Do you offer sliding scale?

A:  There are a limited number of sliding scale appointments available at any time and rates are determined based on the clients ability to pay.  Please discuss your individual situation with Darcy directly.
